As you may know, reverse engineering is the art of converting point clouds into 3D CAD models. Point clouds are collections of 3D points that describe the outer surface features of an object.

These points are determined by analyzing the surrounding environment of an object and collecting data about its appearance using a 3D scanner. QuickSurface is used for quick and easy reconstruction of surfaces from point cloud data.

Depending on the type of input shape, this program offers various surface reconstruction methods and can parametrically model both prismatic and organic shapes. The output can be exported in standard IGES or STEP formats or imported directly into SOLIDWORKS.

QuickSurface is a user-friendly software and a complete reverse engineering solution that is compatible with any 3D scanner producing STL or PTX point output. It creates hybrid parametric models for both organic and prismatic shapes.

In QuickSurface, you can generate data in standard IGES or STEP formats or import the entire parameter set directly into SOLIDWORKS.
